Honey Tree IEA Can't Stop...Won't Stop...Until They Reach the Top
As the sun set on another show at Honey Tree Stables, there was a group of girls, and their coaches, that might not have been able to contain their glee. The Honey Tree Stables Middle School IEA Team continued their domination of the Region 5 area Saturday by taking home the team Championship for the day, earning themselves a spot at Zone 5 Finals March 17-18 at Black Dog Farm in Indiana.
Placings for the day included:
Meaghan Kursman: 1st Place Future Intermediate on the Flat, 2nd Place Future Intermediate Over Fences
Isabella Kachachos: 3rd Place Future Novice on the Flat
Kady Carmack: 1st Place Future Beginner on the Flat
Victoria Lake: 1st Place Future Novice Over Fences
The girls will spend the next few weeks continuing to work in order to put forth their best efforts at Black Dog in hopes of progressing forward to Zone 5 Finals where competitors from all over Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Michigan will meet for a show down to see who has what it takes to make it to National Finales in April.
Furthermore, we would not have been able to host such a wonderful show without the help not only of the wonderful volunteers from Honey Tree, but from every competing team as well. Thank you Equisports for managing the concessions, Childress Rogers Stables Equestrian Team for bringing additional horses and helping set up Friday evening, Camargo Stables for helping us set up Friday evening, Belleame Farm for helping hold horses, Touch of Class IEA for providing parent volunteers, J/S Stables for providing parent volunteers, and Bridle Run IEA for providing parent volunteers! And a big thank you to everyone who stuck around and helped us make a quick task of cleaning up after the show so everyone could enjoy a relaxing Sunday!
